Getting startedWhat is Global Wealth Science University?+
GWSU is being developed as a borderless, technology-enabled university focused on science, technology, business, innovation and leadership. Its model connects learning to simulations, practical projects, verified competencies, internships, professional portfolios, work and venture creation.
Getting startedIs GWSU fully online?+
The proposed delivery model is online-first. Learning, advising, collaboration, simulations, submissions and most student services are designed for digital access. Some programmes may include supervised practical, placement or verification requirements.
Getting startedWhat does “planning framework” mean?+
Programme and institutional information on this site describes the proposed academic framework. Availability, award titles, start dates, fees and delivery are subject to institutional authorization and applicable regulatory approval. Do not treat a catalogue listing as proof that enrolment is open.
Getting startedHow do I create an account?+
Choose Apply, enter your own name and email address, create a secure password, and verify your email if requested. Use one account throughout your applicant and student journey.
Create an account →Getting startedWhere do I sign in?+
Use Portal sign in in the main navigation. After authentication, the portal sends applicants, students, staff and administrators to the appropriate workspace for their role.
Portal sign in →Getting startedCan I use the portal on a phone?+
Yes. Public pages and core portal workflows are designed to work on current mobile, tablet and desktop browsers. For long assessments or document-heavy work, a laptop or desktop is recommended.
AdmissionsHow do I apply?+
Create an applicant account, choose a programme, complete every required section, upload readable documents, review the declaration and submit. The applicant dashboard shows whether the application is draft, submitted, under review, or decided.
Start an application →Application guide →AdmissionsWhich documents will I need?+
Requirements depend on the award and applicant profile. Commonly requested items include a valid identity document, prior qualifications and transcripts, a passport-style photograph, and programme-specific evidence. The application checklist is the authoritative list for your case.
AdmissionsWhy can I not upload a document?+
Confirm that you are signed into the same applicant account, the file type and size are accepted, and your internet connection is stable. Rename unusually long files, avoid special characters, and try again. If upload remains unavailable, save your application and contact admissions support with the section name—never send your password.
AdmissionsCan I save an application and return later?+
Yes. Use the save action before leaving. A saved application remains a draft until you complete the declaration and submit it. A draft is not reviewed as a submitted application.
AdmissionsHow do I know my application was submitted?+
A successful submission should show a confirmation and a Submitted status in the applicant dashboard. If the dashboard still says no application or Draft, do not create another account; refresh, sign back in, and contact support with your account email and approximate submission time.
AdmissionsCan I change information after submission?+
You can normally update drafts. After submission, core details may be locked to protect the review record. Use the admissions enquiry channel to request a correction and provide supporting evidence where necessary.
AdmissionsHow are admission decisions communicated?+
Decisions and requests for further information appear in the applicant dashboard and may also be sent to your registered email. Verify any message by signing in directly rather than following an unfamiliar link.
AdmissionsDoes creating an account guarantee admission?+
No. Registration only creates an applicant identity. Admission depends on complete documentation, entry requirements, review, available intake capacity and regulatory readiness.
Academic programmesWhy does the catalogue show 403 pathways?+
The programme explorer contains the full proposed planning register across fourteen schools and progressive professional award levels. Each pathway page identifies its school, level and planned curriculum context. Catalogue presence does not necessarily mean the pathway is currently open for admission.
Explore programmes →Academic programmesHow do I choose the right programme?+
Compare your intended career outcome, current qualifications, programme level, curriculum and expected practical work. Explore the relevant school, shortlist pathways, then speak with admissions or an adviser before submitting.
Academic programmesWhat is the GWSU academic model?+
It combines shared institutional foundations with discipline learning, simulation, practical projects, competency verification, workplace or enterprise experience and portfolio evidence. Progress is based on both academic achievement and demonstrated capability.
Academic model →Academic programmesWhat are schools?+
Schools are academic homes for related disciplines, programmes, faculty, laboratories and centres. The planning framework organizes pathways across fourteen schools.
Browse schools →Academic programmesCan I change my programme?+
Programme changes require academic and administrative review. Eligibility, completed credits, curriculum fit, fees and intake timing may affect the decision. Submit a formal request through advising before withdrawing from any module.
Academic programmesWhat is a module or course?+
A module is a defined unit of learning with outcomes, activities, assessment and credit value. Your registered modules appear in My courses; the programme curriculum shows how they contribute to your award.
Academic programmesHow are credits earned?+
Credits are earned after satisfying the learning, assessment and competency requirements of a registered module. Participation alone does not award credit.
Learning portalWhat will I see on the student dashboard?+
The dashboard is your current academic snapshot: active courses, learning progress, upcoming assessments, messages, service actions and relevant opportunities. The information reflects records connected to your signed-in account.
Student portal guide →Learning portalHow do online classes work?+
Modules follow a structured rhythm of orientation, learning materials, guided activities, discussions or collaboration, practice, assessment and feedback. Specific schedules and live-session expectations are published inside each course.
Online learning →Learning portalAre live sessions compulsory?+
The requirement is module-specific. If a live session is assessed or required for identity, practical or participation purposes, the course schedule will say so. Recordings do not automatically replace a required live activity.
Learning portalWhere do I find course materials?+
Open Student portal, choose Courses, and select the relevant module. Use the module navigation for learning units, resources, announcements, activities and assessments.
Learning portalWhy is a course missing?+
A course appears only when your registration is active and the teaching space has been published. Check your registration status and intake dates. If one registered course alone is missing, report its code to academic support.
Learning portalHow is progress calculated?+
Progress is based on completed learning activities and recorded requirements in each module. It is a guide to engagement, not necessarily your final grade.
Learning portalWhat are virtual laboratories?+
Virtual laboratories provide controlled environments for simulation, experimentation, technical practice and evidence capture. Access rules and tools depend on the programme and activity.
Virtual laboratories →Assessment & integrityWhat types of assessment are used?+
Assessment may include quizzes, case analysis, projects, laboratory evidence, presentations, portfolios, reflective work, supervised examinations and competency demonstrations. Your module specification states the weighting and pass requirements.
Assessment & integrityWhere do I see deadlines?+
Deadlines appear in the course assessment area and student assessment dashboard. Always use the date, time and time zone shown in the assessment instructions.
Assessment & integrityWhat happens if I miss a deadline?+
Submit as early as possible if the assessment remains open, then follow the published late-submission or mitigating-circumstances process. A technical problem is not automatically an extension; preserve evidence and report it promptly.
Assessment & integrityHow do I submit an assignment?+
Open the assessment, read the rubric and file rules, upload the correct final file, complete any declaration and confirm submission. Check that a receipt or Submitted status appears before leaving the page.
Assessment & integrityCan I replace a submitted file?+
Only when the assessment settings permit resubmission before the deadline. Never assume a new upload has replaced the old one—verify the displayed filename and submission timestamp.
Assessment & integrityWhat is academic integrity?+
Academic integrity means your work honestly represents your learning and properly acknowledges permitted sources, collaborators and tools. Contract cheating, impersonation, fabrication, unauthorized collaboration and plagiarism are prohibited.
Assessment & integrityCan I use artificial intelligence in my work?+
Only as allowed by the assessment instructions. Where permitted, use AI critically, verify outputs, protect confidential data and disclose its use in the required form. Undisclosed or prohibited use may be investigated as academic misconduct.
Assessment & integrityHow do secure examinations work?+
An examination may require identity verification, a device check, a quiet environment, time-limited access and supervised or proctored conditions. Complete the readiness check in advance and follow the examination rules exactly.
Assessment & integrityHow are results and feedback released?+
Results are released after marking and any required moderation or approval. Provisional marks can change until formally confirmed. Feedback appears with the assessment or gradebook when published.
Assessment & integrityCan I appeal a mark?+
A disagreement with academic judgment alone is normally not an appeal ground. Use the published review or appeal procedure for an eligible procedural, administrative or evidenced exceptional issue, within the stated deadline.
Fees & recordsWhere can I see fees and payments?+
When finance functions are enabled, your portal account will show assessed charges, invoices, payments, credits and balances. Confirm payment instructions inside the authenticated portal before transferring money.
Fees & recordsWhat if my payment is not showing?+
Allow the stated processing time, then compare the payer reference and amount with your receipt. Report unmatched payments through finance support and attach proof with sensitive card details concealed.
Fees & recordsHow do I get a receipt or invoice?+
Open the finance or records area and download the document for the relevant transaction or period. If the feature is not yet available, request an official copy from finance using your student or applicant identifier.
Fees & recordsHow do I update my legal name?+
Request a formal records change and provide approved identity evidence. Changing a profile display name does not automatically amend formal academic records.
Fees & recordsHow do I request a transcript or letter?+
Use Student services to select the official document, delivery format and recipient. Requests may require identity checks, settled obligations and processing time.
Student supportWho should I contact for help?+
Admissions handles applications; academic advisers handle study planning; course faculty handle learning and assessment questions; student services handle records and wellbeing referrals; technical support handles access issues; finance handles charges and payments.
Student supportHow do academic advising appointments work?+
Use the advising area to review alerts, prepare questions and request a meeting. Bring your programme plan and any relevant evidence. Advisers guide decisions but formal changes still require the appropriate approval.
Student supportWhat accessibility support is available?+
Students who face disability-related or accessibility barriers should contact student services early. Reasonable adjustments are considered through an evidence-informed process without lowering essential academic or professional outcomes.
Student supportHow do I report harassment or a safeguarding concern?+
Use the designated confidential reporting or student-support channel. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service first. Retaliation for good-faith reporting is not acceptable.
Student supportHow do I make a complaint?+
First seek timely resolution with the responsible service where appropriate. If unresolved, use the formal complaint process, state the issue and desired resolution, and attach relevant evidence. Academic appeals use a separate process.
Technology & securityWhich browser should I use?+
Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with cookies and JavaScript enabled for the university site. Install operating-system and browser updates and avoid unsupported or embedded browsers for secure examinations.
Technology & securityWhat internet connection do I need?+
A stable broadband or mobile connection is recommended. Download learning materials when permitted, keep a backup connectivity option for high-stakes activities, and run the examination readiness check before an assessment.
Technology & securityI see “NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource.” What should I do?+
Check connectivity, reload once, confirm your device date and time, disable interfering VPN or privacy extensions temporarily, and try a supported browser. If only the live site fails, report the page, time, browser and screenshot to technical support; do not repeatedly create accounts.
Technology & securityHow do I sign out?+
Use Sign out in the profile or portal navigation, especially on a shared device. Closing the browser is not always the same as ending the session.
Technology & securityWhat if the portal says a session is already active?+
Return to the portal and sign out, then sign in with the intended account. If the old session cannot be accessed, clear site data for the university domain or use a private window, then contact support if it persists.
Technology & securityHow do I protect my account?+
Use a unique password, enable multi-factor authentication when offered, never share verification codes, sign out of shared devices and access the portal from the official university domain. University staff should never ask for your password.
Technology & securityHow do I report a security or privacy incident?+
Stop sharing the affected information, preserve evidence and report the incident promptly through the official support channel. If credentials may be exposed, change your password and end other sessions.
Careers & graduationWhat is the professional portfolio?+
It is an organized record of verified projects, competencies, laboratory or workplace evidence and reflective learning that helps demonstrate what you can do to employers, clients or investors.
Careers & graduationHow do internships and opportunities work?+
Eligibility, matching, supervision and evidence requirements vary by programme and partner. Opportunities shown in the portal are not automatic offers; apply by the stated deadline and meet all conditions.
Careers & graduationWhat is the Enterprise Incubator?+
The incubator supports students in turning validated problems and ideas into tested solutions, venture evidence and responsible enterprises through structured stages and mentoring.
Enterprise incubator →Careers & graduationWhat must I complete to graduate?+
You must satisfy the approved curriculum credits, required assessments and competencies, practical or placement requirements, portfolio and capstone conditions, academic integrity requirements, and any administrative obligations for your award.
Careers & graduationDoes GWSU guarantee a job?+
No university can responsibly guarantee employment. GWSU’s proposed model strengthens readiness through applied learning, evidence, advising, internships, enterprise support and opportunity networks; outcomes still depend on the learner, market and employer requirements.
PoliciesWhere are official policies?+
Policy summaries and guidance will be linked from the documentation library and relevant workflows. Where a summary differs from an approved policy, the approved policy and current published procedure take precedence.
PoliciesHow is my personal information used?+
Personal data should be collected for defined educational, administrative, legal and security purposes, protected with appropriate controls, retained only as required, and handled under the applicable privacy notice and law.
PoliciesWhat is the difference between a complaint and an appeal?+
A complaint concerns service, conduct or experience. An academic appeal asks for review of an academic decision on permitted grounds. Choosing the correct process prevents delay.
PoliciesIs the FAQ an official contract?+
No. This Help Centre explains the portal and university model but does not replace an admission offer, student agreement, programme specification, approved regulation or policy.
